Itinerary

Depart in the morning from Marrakech (Agadir or Ouarzazate at your choice) to reach the village of Mhamid El Ghizlane, located at the gates of the desert (private transportation by Osez Le Desert Du Maroc). Enjoy a possible stop in an Atlas village and visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Beh Haddou near Ouarzazate. Spend the night at the comfortable fixed camp of Osez Le Desert Du Maroc

Embark on a 5-day desert adventure starting from M'hamid. Accompanied by the Osez Le Desert Du Maroc team and a caravan of camels, trek along the Drâa River towards the Palmeraie of M'hamid. After a few hours of walking, set up the camp between the dunes near the sanctuary of Sidi Naji. This marabout is said to have lived, according to oral tradition, 18 generations ago, making it a place filled with history and local customs

In the early morning, after loading the camels, traverse the hamada to discover the Erg Zmila. This marks the extreme east of the Drâa Valley. Walk at the pace dictated by the shadows on the route. Spend the night at the Zmila dunes, experiencing a genuine "end of the world" sensation.

Head southwest towards Erg Ezahar, also known as the "singing dunes" due to the light sound produced by the wind. These majestic sand dunes offer a panoramic view of the entire Drâa Valley. It's one of our favorite sites, portraying the Sahara as imagined: lunar and undulating. Establish the camp at the foot of the dunes, with the freedom to sleep under the stars or in your tent.

The magic of the desert often unfolds on the fourth morning. After packing up the camp, journey towards Erg Smar, crossing the Drâa River. Experience a typical day in the desert, accompanied by the rhythm of the camels, with the possibility of unexpected and surprising encounters.

Depart early from Erg Smar in a 4X4 for the return to the fixed camp, followed by the journey back to Ouarzazate, Agadir, and Marrakech in the late evening
