Itinerary
Departure from Marrakech and Ouarzazate in the morning to reach the village of Mhamid el Ghizlane, at the gateway to the Moroccan desert.
Upon arrival in the village, we head to the fixed bivouac after a 15-minute off-road journey. Welcome tea and hammam. Dinner and overnight stay in a pisé tent at the bivouac.
After breakfast, we explore the village of Mhamid El Ghizlane through the palm grove track. Visit the still-inhabited kasbah and the opportunity to discover a local cooperative (carpets or couscous, depending on the season). Lunch is provided at a local's home.
Evening with nomadic chants and overnight stay at the fixed bivouac.
In the morning, departure on foot (or by camel, as preferred) with the camel caravan to explore the erg for the day or half-day (also optional). A tea break and lunch will be provided in the shade of tamarisks in the heart of the dunes. A short but intense nomadic experience.
In the evening, overnight stay at the fixed bivouac.
Departure on foot (or by camel, as preferred) with the camel caravan to explore the dry bed of the Oued Drâa located to the east of the fixed bivouac. The hike is for the day or half-day, as preferred. This day offers unexpected landscapes, with the possibility of encountering herds of camels and their shepherds.
Hammam at sunset and overnight stay at the fixed bivouac.
Leave the fixed bivouac in the late morning to reach Zagora, Ouarzazate, and finally Marrakech via the Tichka Pass road.
