Itinerary
- In the morning, depart from Marrakech, Agadir, and Ouarzazate to reach Mhamid, at the gateway to the desert (455 km, through the Atlas and the Drâa Valley).
- Customize your journey with visits and stops (Atlas Village, Tichka Pass, Ait Ben Haddou, Zagora, Tamegroute...).
- Night in a fixed camp in the dunes.
- Start on foot from M'hamid El Ghizlane through the village's palm grove.
- This first day leads to the dunes of Sidi Naji, amidst dunes and desert plateaus.
- Set up the bivouac in the heart of the erg after a day of walking.
- The trek continues away from frequented tracks towards Ait Outnir.
- After several hours of walking, the erg comes into view with its typical vegetation.
- Bivouac under the stars or under canvas, according to preferences.
- March towards the magnificent singing dunes after crossing a long desert plateau.
- This sparsely populated sea of sand offers a splendid viewpoint over the entire Drâa Valley—a Sahara as one imagines it!
- Leave the high sand dunes, heading east to reach Zmila.
- Alongside mountains and a stone desert, the area at the extremity of the Drâa Valley is rarely frequented.
- Ideal for encountering shepherds and their flocks. In the evening, return to the dunes to set up the bivouac.
- Leave the sand dunes to reach the Lanhiche Dunes.
- Experience a nomadic atmosphere between simplicity and sharing for the last night in the desert.
- Enjoy breakfast in the dunes before heading back to Mhamid by mid-morning.
- Departure to reach Ouarzazate, Agadir, and Marrakech in the late evening.
