Itinerary
Departure from Marrakech in the morning to reach the small town of Zagora, in the heart of the Draa Valley. Meeting with the camel team and the caravan of camels. Departure on foot for the Moulachar mountain. Night in a nomadic bivouac (1 hour walk).
In the heart of the Moulachar reg, after 5 hours of walking, we reach the oasis of Diabi. Lunch is taken in the shade of the palm grove, and dinner by a fire.
Lunar landscape for this day in this vast reg to set up the bivouac at Oued Lemhassa (valley of the nomads). 5 hours of walking.
We leave the stone desert to reach the famous large dunes of Chegaga. Bivouac under the stars in the heart of the erg. 5 hours of walking.
The walk takes us in the footsteps of nomads towards Erg Chentouf (landscape of dunes, Saharan vegetation). 5 hours of walking.
We reach Erg Smar, nestled in a bend of the Draa (5 hours of walking). Former place of residence and nomadic Sahrawi agriculture.
Rest day, next to the well of Erg Smar. Possibility of a little toilet. According to desires, nomadic activities with the camel team (Nomad Hockey, Nomad Lady, sandbread contest, traditional music...).
We leave the high dunes to reach Erg Zmila, at the outskirts of the Draa Valley. 5 hours of walking. Visit on the way to the marabout Sidi Omar.

A little visit for this day to the sanctuary of Sidi Naji, an important festivity place for Sahrawi nomads.
We approach the village of Mhamid to find the palm grove. Possibility of a hammam. Night in a comfortable bivouac (shower and toilet) 10km from the village.
Last breakfast in the desert. We leave the village to reach Ouarzazate, then Marrakech in the evening.
